Without 4WD / AWD, you will not be able to get up the driveway given the snowy/conditions. Please note this is also our family home and not a party house. Treat our home as you would with your home. **We are approximately 2 miles to downtown Fleischmanns. The town is not within walking distance. The road leading to town is steep and winding, and does not have a shoulder. The open mezzanine extends full height to the roof for a connected and communal experience. Enjoy your morning coffee and meals on the deck overlooking Halcott Mountain. There's a propane grill on the first floor. High speed fiber internet + WIFI. 55" TV with Roku (you'll need your own account to access your favorite streaming services such Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc... Central heat is controlled by a Nest thermostat and only heats the bedrooms and bathrooms. Living areas heated by split systems. Main bedroom split system only for AC in summer. AC only available in 1st and 2nd fl living rooms and primary bedroom. Every bedroom has a floor fan. Our home is in a rural area with very strict recycling rules. Please follow the recycling guide per the home manual to avoid incurring a fine that will be paid by the guest. We love pets but they are not allowed due to our allergies. *WINTER: Please plan ahead and ensure your vehicle is equipped with 4WD / AWD for winter conditions. Please note: any extended stay requests beyond 2 hours will need to be assessed and will require a fee. We do not allow guests who do not have positive reviews. This is our second home and a good track record is important to us to ensure our home will be well taken care of.
Other Details to Note
No parties, weddings, events, and photoshoots. No pets. We love animals but our allergies do not allow us to invite pets into our homes. Our home is in a rural area with very strict recycling rules. Please recycle! We ask that guests do not bring gaming consoles to hook up to our tv, move around furniture, or unplug any wires and cables. This will disrupt the entertainment system for the next guests. For safety reasons, please note that our house and property is not child-proof and we do not provide cribs, highchairs, changing tables, etc. Please inform us prior to booking if you plan on bringing children and infants. At this moment, the maximum number of guests allowed is 10, including kids. Infants (0-1 year) are an exception. To ensure safe driving during winter, note that roads are cleared and salted after major snowfalls. Please plan ahead and ensure your vehicle is equipped with 4WD for winter conditions. It's best to arrive during daylight hours. Our driveway is steep and will be challenging to get up and down driveway without 4WD if it's covered in snow and or ice. The house is equipped with security cameras pointed outside and in the garage. The cameras serve as security on the property and to make sure everything is functioning properly. The camera pointed outside from the 1st fl can be unplugged during your stay. Please remember to plug back when you leave. We may to be able to accommodate an early check in or late check out, subject to our booking calendar and cleaning schedule. Please note that a fee may be required for up to two hours. For 2-4 hours, we charge $50. For 4 hours or more, we will determine the appropriate rate based on the request.
